Newcastle 30 November
I think the David Probert/Andrew Balding pairing looks strong tomorrow and it’s certainly worth siding with them for the two races in which they are entered.

David Probert looks to have a good chance riding the Andrew Balding trained Dark Angel gelding Dance At Night.
Andrew Balding and David Probert are a profitable combination. David is riding very well at the moment and has a 24% hit rate over the last 14 days at the time of writing. When riding 3yo on the Aw this season he is +£107.57 to a £1 level stake. I spent some time looking at his stats today and he really is one to take notice of if you are not already. He will know what to expect in this race as he rode the gelding on his debut at Kempton.
Dance At Night will be taking part in his second race and is 3yo. His debut was at Kempton in a 6f class 5 novice race. He came out the stalls well and scooted across to the inside rail. Probert raced him in a prominent position stalking the leaders. It was noticeable that Dance At Night is not a fan of turning right and was pulling slightly wanting to float wide but David was having none of it and kept him in good order. At the end the leader ran off with the race after gaining too much ground to recover. Probert realised what was happening and was forced to make the first move in the chasing pack which was not ideal for Dance At Night and he came 4th. In conclusion I think Dance At Night looks promising and like a gelding that will improve for that run as he looked a bit green.
He will prefer the straight course at Newcastle and may be a bit less eager as he will be less green and he will be able to see the entire of the trip and therefore the task ahead of him.

This is another from the Andrew Balding stable. Balding has a great record at Newcastle this season with a 26% win rate with 8 winners from 31 runners.
Jabbar was unfortunate to come up against a good Charlie Appleby horse last time and finished well behind. David Probert has taken over the reins this time and should be able to give him a positive ride at Newcastle. David is +£60.80 to a £1 level stake with 2yo on the all-weather this season.
Jabbar will be proudly sporting a visor in this race for the first time. This will help a great deal as he has not had headgear before. It will keep him focused straight ahead which is perfect for this one mile straight course at Newcastle. He looks fairly treated at the weights and they will not imposition him. He may come on for racing on a straight course. He has only tackled left handed tracks so far. He is from the same dam as a good all weather winner so should handle all weather racing. His last run was on the surface and it was his best so far according to RPR ratings. A class 6 race represents a drop in class which he will welcome. The distance looks like it should suit.
